Firefighters from Niagara Active Hose Co. responded to the 9700 block of Porter Road around 12:55 p.m. on Sunday for reports of a vehicle fire.
On arrival, they located a U.S. Postal Service mail truck with its engine compartment engulfed in flames.
The postal worker was not injured. It was reported that the mail truck was empty and returning to the LaSalle Station when the fire broke out.
