Ohio Postal Service truck catches fire

LEAVITTSBURG, Ohio (WKBN) – Crews were called to the U.S. Postal Service in Leavittsburg after one of the Postal Service’s mail trucks caught fire.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – A postal carrier escaped a fire inside a mail truck in Springfield.

Fire erupted due to a mechanical failure when attempting to load it on a wrecker from the breakdown earlier in the day.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time, and the truck will be transported to the Atlanta Post Office headquarters for further investigation.

Wednesday around lunchtime a mail truck caught fire on Carrie St. in Orange, damaging the truck and burning some mail. But don’t worry, the Amazon packages in the back survived.
