A postal vehicle caught fire in the 1800 block of Pirma Avenue on [APR 1 ]. Firefighters responded promptly to the scene, where the engine compartment and cab of the vehicle sustained significant damage.

HVFC was dispatched at 4:15 pm for a vehicle fire on Welsh Road and Lieberman Drive. Deputy 8 confirmed a mail truck on fire. No injuries.
Hanover Area Fire & Rescue Chief Tony Clauser said a mechanic was checking the truck after a report of the odor of something burning. The mechanic started the truck and heard a pop, and the truck burst into flames.
