US Postal Service truck catches fire in south Charlotte
A mail delivery truck for the U.S. Postal Service caught on fire in a south Charlotte neighborhood on Saturday morning.
A mail delivery truck for the U.S. Postal Service caught on fire in a south Charlotte neighborhood on Saturday morning.
At approximately 4 PM, a mail truck was spotted on fire at the Honeycutt Road and Highway 87 junction. Local firefighters responded promptly to the scene and the fire was extinguished.
The carrier was able to remove the mail from the vehicle, according to Philip Bogenberger, a North Carolina-based spokesman for the postal service. The carrier did not suffer any injuries and he was able to continue to deliver all of the mail on the route, Bogenberger sai
