A USPS van caught on fire in Silver Spring on Wednesday afternoon
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. — Crews in Montgomery County worked to put out a fire that destroyed a mail delivery truck on Thursday morning.
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to vehicle fire on Friday, December 22.
Engine 24 is back in quarters after responding to this US Postal Truck Fire on Vincent Cir in Mechanicsville. Crews quickly extinguished the fire and requested the Sheriff’s Office due to the vehicle being in motion when the fire started. Driver was out on arrival. No injuries reported.
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) were called to the scene of a United States Postal Service (USPS) mail delivery truck on fire in the rear of a house on the 14200 block of Seneca Rd in Darnestown at approximately 12:30pm on Thursday afternoon.

ROCKLAND – A USPS truck burst into flames on Wednesday morning while a carrier was delivering mail on Winding Way. The postal carrier was able to get out of the truck on her own, and managed to save all the mail in the vehicle.
