Mail truck fire – Mechanicsville, MD

A heavily damaged vehicle burned to debris on the side of a road, with fire hoses nearby and emergency responders visible in the background. The scene indicates a recent fire incident.

Engine 24 is back in quarters after responding to this US Postal Truck Fire on Vincent Cir in Mechanicsville. Crews quickly extinguished the fire and requested the Sheriff’s Office due to the vehicle being in motion when the fire started. Driver was out on arrival. No injuries reported.

ROCKLAND – A USPS truck burst into flames on Wednesday morning while a carrier was delivering mail on Winding Way. The postal carrier was able to get out of the truck on her own, and managed to save all the mail in the vehicle.
