Louisiana Mail Truck Fire

Two firefighters in protective gear using a hose to extinguish a small vehicle fire, with flames and smoke billowing from the vehicle, set against a wooded background.

Not every day does a USPS mail truck catch fire—but this one did earlier today on Old Spanish Trail! Engine 11’s crew Chase Elsworth and Jon Miller handled it up with Cain Knight pumping that truck. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. However, if you noticed some mail being delayed, this might be the reason.

A USPS mail truck caught fire on La. Hwy 28 West near the Kisatchie National Forest Ranger Station. Unfortunately, all mail and packages aboard were lost in the incident. The incident occurred around 10 am Sunday.
